Birds of Mumbai and some more

Last few years I have been trying to do some bird watching. This all started when I acquired a superzoom camera with 21x optical zoom and later with a Nikon P600 Coolpix which has a staggering 60x optical zoom. Since I couldn't identify many birds I would do a google search of common birds and try to match the photo with the search results. Later, I bought a book from the Flora Fountain footpath, Birds of Mumbai by Sunjoy Monga. The book helped me identify most of the birds easily. It's very commendable... Gradually the birds that we saw so often in our childhood are simply disappearing.... May be this will make us more sensitive to our winged friends.
Thats brilliant Rohit! Would be great if you can share the photos here as well and have a ready reckoner for amateurs
