Birds of Neyyar Dam: Red Vented Bulbul

The Red vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer)though not commonly sighted in the city is one of the 100 most invasive alien species. found this specimen just along the Boat Jetty. Was pretty easy to snap although my camera was not fully prepared. Found that the other birds, particularly the Loten's Sunbird was a tough nut to crack!

This Red vented Bulbul seems to be singing!
