Artificial

This sums the word Artificial in its entirety. The clinical white tiles reflecting the completely artificial lighting which do not make any attempt of mimicking the daylight, the plastic flower pot and then the plastic plant emanating a surreal green. You wouldn't know if the outside was a sunny Goa beach, a tropical jungle waiting to be explored, a Scandinavian landscape with aurora borealis or perhaps an unending winter following a nuclear blast. What you do get to know is the yearning for escape from this simulated make believe world which makes for a poor substitute for the hard dust and grime real world...
